This is the view from the outside...

And the view from the inside... (the face is on the right, and if you look closely you can see his arms crossed in front of his chest.)

(This is his profile - nose is at the top of the picture, his hand is on his chest just below the chin.)
We had our first ultrasound on Friday. Manny was with me, of course, along with my mom and dad, who came up from Evansville especially for the event. :)
What an exciting time for us!! Manny stood at the foot of the table with his hand on my leg and though I couldn't see his face in the dark room (plus my eyes were glued to the monitor screen), I know he was just as nervous and excited as I was. He kept squeezing my leg and giggling every once in a while when we'd see a new angle or something cool. It's a really strange and unreal feeling getting to actually SEE our baby's face, and heartbeat, and arms and legs move. He was kind of being shy at first- keeping his legs crossed pretty tight, but after poking him a bit we were able to get him to move his legs and show us that he's a boy. And once we saw, there was NO doubting it. I'm happy that everything looks healthy and in its place and is developing right on schedule. Seeing him with my own eyes reminds me just how amazing and miraculous it is that God creates life out of virtually nothing. We're both very pleased to be having a son. I think Manny is especially happy -- he woke up at 3:30 Saturday morning because he was too excited to sleep.
To celebrate afterward my parents and Manny and I went to Bonefish Grille and had a fantastic dinner! Yum!On Saturday Mom, Libby and I went to the Edinburgh Outlet mall and shopped our faces off! This boy has so many cute clothes! And we got great deals. We had a blast. Then last night we went to visit my aunt and uncle in Fishers since we never make time to see them. That was a good time. This weekend has been action-packed and so much fun.
