Frosty Winter Settles In

This was taken in December 2007, when Elijah was 4 months old. (his very first snow)

And this one was taken last week, when he was 17 months old.

Wanna know something funny though? He's wearing the very same snow suit in both pictures!! (you just can't it in the second one under his coat) How? Well, it doesn't have built-in feet so I could squeeze his long legs in it, pile on a few pairs of Manny's socks, and layer him with zip-lock bags to keep the bottom parts of his legs dry. You are looking at one resourceful Momma here. Hee hee!

Here we are enjoying the snow together. He looks thrilled, right?
We did go sledding down the driveway 3 times. He laughed and screamed the entire time!

He got a little ticked because he wanted more icicles and I said no.

Dang it Momma! I don't care if my hands do fall off from frostbite.

I want MORE!

My Snow Angel.

As I mentioned before, Elijah fell into the coffee table at my Grandma's house the other day, which resulted in a much smaller injury than I originally thought. If you look closely you can see a little bruise and scratch next to the left eye. I took this picture last night, when the wound was only 48 hours old. It sure has healed quickly! Thankfully.

p.s. I still have not been able to go home yet. Our driveway is slippery, ice-covered, and steep, which makes it impossible to get my car out. Without a car seat in Manny's truck, I can't take Elijah home so we're still staying at my Mom's. It's been 11 days now and I'm ready to sleep in my own bed again.

p.p.s. Courtney gets to find out the gender of her baby today! I'm sooooo excited for her. I can't wait to hear. Yippee!
