5 days until moving.
Right. No closing last Friday. It has been postponed until Wednesday. Something about the title company needing more documentation from the buyers, or funding not being available yet - or both. I knew it wouldn't be smooth sailing so at least I was prepared for this. And strange as it sounds, I wasn't even that disappointed. I guess partially because we don't have to pack up the U.haul until Friday anyway. As long as closing happens before then I'm okay with it. My parents are planning to be up here Thursday night to help get all the last second stuff done.
Meanwhile I've been packing my nalgas off. literally. I was off work all week and that's what I did all day every day. I am whipped. And frankly, going to work tomorrow will be a break. (Thought I'd never think that.)
I cannot believe I only have 5 more days as a claims adjuster (well 4 really since Friday I'll be saying goodbyes, packing my desk, and leaving after lunch. I'm slightly sentimental about it. Though not my first choice in careers, they have treated me well, paid me wonderfully, it's been solid work, and I've never had to worry about being laid off. I've also made some good friends there. My boss is great and I believe him when he says he won't be able to find a replacement for me. (I'm a dang good employee, after all.) :-)
I am VERY excited to finally make this move. We have always loved the lake house but never thought we'd be able to live there. This is great, because we're also just in time for summer and I hear the lake is teeming with fish. Yay.
Enough of my rambling for now. I'm off to pack up a few more boxes then put my little guy down for the night. Here's a picture of him for good measure, loving bathtime!

While I hate that the closing was moved,...I'm still totally excited for you to move back here!! I'm with you, I can't wait to hang out again. Our kids can grow up together:)
