Rainy Day

As you can see, it's been a little wet around these parts. In fact, for about an hour yesterday you would have thought we were right in the middle of monsoon season in Kolkata. That's about the end of my knowledge on Kolkata, so don't go thinking I'm miss smarty pants for bringing that up. What started as light drizzle ended up flooding the streets (and nearly our office too), providing Elijah a perfect opportunity to splash and enjoy what might have been the last warm rain of the season. Yesterday was the first day of autumn after all. Boo to that, by the way. We both had fun right up until the part where I informed him it was time to go in and dry off. At which point a tantrum ensued. And by tantrum I mean specifically that he screamed, cried, begged, stomped his feet, and tried to throw his body on the ground until he fell alseep in the car from sheer exhaustion.
I'd say it was a good day... all things considered. An hour of happy playing in the rain outweighs a 10 minute tantrum in my book.
