hotdog warmers, coco krispies, and the zoo

You know how in the middle of the night sometimes you half-way wake up and are kind of still dreaming? Or at least you think you're awake and you see and hear strange things? No? You don't? Well, I do.... so play along won't you.
Last night I was restless - either hot, or uncomfortable, or something- but still sort of sleeping. It could have been the fact that Manny was rolling over and over. I thought to myself - "How annoying. Why won't he just lay still for crying out loud?". Until I realized I was rolling over and over just as much as he was. Then in my head I heard a British voice narrating the following as if we were characters in a movie...

"The two of them were rolling over and over in bed like two hotdogs in one of those warming cases at 7-11."

And then, in my half-dreaming-half-awake state I laughed. I think British accents are so funny you know.

It should also be mentioned that I hate hotdogs.

Today is Elijah's 15 month birthday! He celebrated this morning by eating Coco Krispies for the first time. (This was my Mom's idea.) He thinks he's a very big boy eating cereal with milk now. Plus, who doesn't love chocolate for breakfast? Luckily I won't be the one who has to deal with him bouncing off the walls. ;)

Yesterday my Mom took him to the zoo and they had a fabulous time! She's not one for taking pictures so I don't have any to share. Reportedly a Peacock tried to take some of Elijah's Cheerios's off his stroller tray, he giggled hysterically at the Billy Goat in the petting zoo, and a Giraffe got so close he almost licked his face. All in all, a good field trip.

It was DARK when I left work yesterday at 5:00. DARK, cold, and raining. boo to that.

I cracked up at your hotdog dreamlike British accent story. How funny!! And I do know what you're talking about. Except that usually only happens to me with scary things. Like thinking there's someone standing in our room, or I can't find Corban, etc.
Happy 15 months, Elijah!!
Have a great weekend! Oh- and I like the new header :)
