off the market

I've been out of the blogging loop for a few days so I have some catching up to do.

I was off work Friday and yesterday - which was fabulous! Yesterday was the most beautiful summer day... the kind with bright blue skies and those puffy white clouds, 82 degrees, no humidity, singing birds, and time to relax and be lazy on the porch with a gardening magazine while my baby was napping. :) A perfect day to be off work!

I called the realtor on Thursday and told her we're pulling the house off the market on Monday (yesterday). She said that's fine, but by the way she would "hate to loose all those advertising dollars, so lets try to get some showings this weekend". So Saturday showed it to 2 families. Meanwhile we were doing yard work and stuff Saturday morning, and I counted 7 different cars that stopped to look. Our house is at the end of a dead end lane so you can't get to there without wanting to. If you didn't go there on purpose you would never stumble upon it because it's so secluded. So I know they were checking us out.

Then yesterday the realtor called at noon and said someone wanted to come at 2:30. I said fine. We were there when they came and they had six kids. The house was WAY too small for them, but they were a very nice homeschool family. Their oldest boy's name is Elijah too. Funny.

P.S. Here is a picture of my friend Sarah and me having lunch at El Rodeo on my last day at work. Not the cutest picture of me... but whatever.

Your family is so beautiful! I love seeing your journeys and how awesome it is to watch your little boy grow up, too! I appreciate our meeting, Sarah! Know of my prayers.
