Big Weekend

We spent the last 4 days in Evansville visiting my family. It was nice and semi-relaxing, but kind of a whirlwind at times. The drive down Thursday night was tolerable. Elijah did ok when I was in the back seat w/him entertaining him. He hates to be in his seat. He was a very good boy considering the long drive.

We had dinner Friday night at my grandparents' house. That was a really nice time. They LOVE Elijah and are super cute with him. Saturday Manny and my Dad put down a hardwood floor in one of the bedrooms. It turned out so pretty. Mom and I just cooked and played with Elijah. This lady who lives w/them showed us how to make flour tortillas (I already knew how). They are so much yummier when you make them yourself.

The rest of the time we just visited with the Grandparents, hung out at home, cooked, ate, played with Elijah and relaxed. We went to see Chris and Carla Friday night too. Bella Rose is 10 months and SO big! She's nearly walking now!

Saturday afternoon we were all hanging out and Elijah was "talking" to us in his baby babble way. Just making all kinds of cute sounds. Manny walked in the room and Elijah looked right at him and said "Da-da". Just like that. Clear as can be. I'm sure it was deliberate because he's done it a few more times in context. :) What a smart little guy I have!! yay!

We also got my car fixed while we were in town. Turns out it was a problem w/the ball bearing. At least it wasn't too terribly expensive. I'm just relieved it's fixed.
