twice as nice

So, it turns out Elijah was cutting 2 top teeth at once. No wonder he's feeling so bad. They are both barely making their way out, so in a few days he should be over the majority of the yuck that he has now. He felt so bad this weekend he practically cried all afternoon Saturday and Sunday. Yesterday he took two 3 hour naps, so I knew he really didn't feel well. My sweet boy, he still wants to be happy so much. We did everything we could think of to make him feel better, and every once in a while he would let out a little laugh in between whines. My favorite is when he lets loose with a full on belly laugh when I tickle his tummy. Just makes my heart happy. :) All things considered, he's a good boy.

Oh, yeah. I tried the teething tablets and they are wonderful!

Saturday I took him for his 7 month pictures. He was somber the entire time. Never smiled once. He wasn't crying or being cranky, he just didn't want to smile. So I got the only picture that turned out. He at least has an alert happy look on his face. Oh well, sometimes you just have bad days I guess.

Yesterday Elijah and Annie had their first real encounter. It was adorable! Annie is always interested in him and will sniff him when he's on the floor or near to her level. She's such a good dog, she knows not to bother his toys or lick him. But yesterday we had Elijah on the couch with Annie sitting at our feet. She sniffed his hand and he reached out and petted her on the head. I let him because I want them to get to know each other. Then Annie licked his hand and sniffed him some more (meanwhile she's wagging her butt like crazy!). He cooed and patted at her and she LOVED the attention. I'm sure they will be good friends when he gets a little older. (And then I washed his hands.)
