I guess we've crossed the bridge from infantdom to babydom now that Elijah is officially eating real (albeit pureed) food. Last night he had sweet potatoes with his cereal. The first 2 bites were questionable. He made a face at me like "This isn't that sweet stuff I had last night, Mom.", but then quickly decided he would eat it. And fast! This kid eats like a champ. :)
Today he is 26 weeks old. Thursday will be his 6 month birthday. Where did this time go? I can't fathom that he's already such a big boy! Didn't we just bring home that tiny, squeaky, wrinkled little guy who did nothing but sleep and eat?
Let's see, what else can I talk about besides Elijah? ... hum... Oh yeah, work. Work is blah. I was called by an attorney to appear and testify at a trial this Friday in Cincinnati. But alas, the providence of God intervened and it turns out I have Friday and Monday scheduled off so I don't have to go. [wipes brow] That was a close one!
Also, Manny's 30th birthday is coming up in less that a week and I have no idea what to get him or how we can celebrate. Again with the money issues. (I'm so SICK of talking about that!) I will at least be off work that day so we can spend time together. We were going to drive to Evansville for a 4 day weekend, but we can't afford for Manny to miss that much work. He gets almost all his work hours on the weekends. boo to that! I can't believe we're entering a new decade of life now. Aren't we supposed to have accomplished so much more by now? I thought we'd have at least 2 kids, live near my family, be somewhat financially sound (maybe have only 1 mortgage) and less debt in stead of more, and have stable jobs or possibly careers. It's ok. The Lord has other plans for us. Sometimes I just wish I had a clue as to what they were. :) I told Manny the other day that he has a week left if there was anything he wanted to accomplish in his 20's.
Also, today its warm outside and I'm happy about that.
