everyone loves to watch an underdog win

Elijah watched his first Super Bowl last night. And by watched, I mean he actually watched the game. We tried turning him to face away from the TV but he would crane his neck around until he could see, even if he had to turn his head upside-down. Silly boy. And like us, he was equally as excited about the Patriots losing. I love that.

Also, in baby news, he ate his first taste of banana this weekend. I decided to give him a little something yummy in the cereal. It was so fun to watch his eyes light up and see that little bird mouth open wide for more. He loved it so much that from the time I would take the spoon from his mouth to the bowl he would already been squealing for more. What a fun little guy I have!

Did I also mention that he's pretty much sitting up unassisted? He can do it for a while on his own before tipping over. His bottom is still a little round. I think jumping in the Jumparoo is making his tummy and back stronger, so I'm sure it won't be long before he does it all on his own. Sometimes I think I should be concerned that he's not rolling over yet. I don't know if I should worry about it. I think maybe he doesn't because we don't lay him on his back very much. He spends most of his time either in his bouncy seat, being held, playing in the Jumparoo, or exersaucer, or laying on his belly. One of these days he'll get it. And when he does, I'll be there with camera in hand.
