Happy Thanksgiving

This is us last Thanksgiving - the day we found out we were having a baby! What a happy day that was! My, how a year has changed us. :)

We ended up having a nice weekend with my mom and dad up here. It was relaxing for the most part. We stayed around the house, cooked, ate, played with Elijah, watched football, cooked, and ate some more. Just like Thanksgiving weekend should be. Mom and I did make it out to the mall on Saturday to pick up Elijah's 3 month pictures (which turned out SO cute!).
I had half a thought of decorating for Christmas... but since my tree, lights, ornaments, stockings, garland, candles, etc are down in Evansville in my parents' basement, I decided against it. We do have 3 tiny trees in the attic which I might get down just so I don't seem like a Scrooge for Elijah's first Christmas. But we don't have anything to put on it. Oh well, he won't remember anyway. I'm just not really in to Christmas this year. Maybe having no money has something to do with that... kind of puts a damper on buying gifts and stuff. We'll see, maybe the mood will strike later.
Yesterday the contract with our current realtor expired. We haven't relisted with him and I doubt we will. I'm not very happy with him. Not that it's his fault the market stinks, but he didn't seem to try very hard to sell it either. I am wondering if it might be better to put it for sale by owner so we can reduce the selling price to move it quicker. I'm just not sure if we're up to the challenge of doing it ourselves. This is a very hard situation. I'm not sure what to do. Why can't someone just call me up, say they'll buy it and will pay full asking price today so we can get down to Evansville? [sigh]
