the dreaded molars are wreaking havoc on my baby

Poo on teething! Elijah has been having a pretty bad past 3 days.
How I hate that my boy is feeling terrible and I cannot help him. One thing though, that makes it a little better, are those blessed teething tablets! Hooray for them!! Perhaps the worst is over though. I saw just the tip of his top left molar peeking through the gums last night. Somehow I doubt, however, that he's only getting one tooth. He's been chewing wildly on everything object in sight with the other side of his mouth too. We shall see. At least he's sleeping all night again. (He wasn't doing so well for several nights in a row.)

Aside from that, we've got lots of other stuff going on in the world of Elijah.
He's trying SO hard to walk. I simply cannot keep him down off stuff now. He can use anything to pull himself up, including the wall outlets. Funny, I never thought you could get leverage off an outlet - but apparently Elijah can. :) He has been trying to stand up in the middle of the floor, and he loves to walk from one thing to the next. Sometimes he lets go or forgets he needs to hold on for a few seconds before falling down. But he's developing pretty good ballance. I imagine it won't be long at all before he goes for it on his own.

My Grandma came over to our house Monday and spent a good part of the day with us. It was so much fun just to hang out. We cooked, sat on the porch, played with Elijah, went on a walk around the lake, did laundry, and had a good old time.

There is hardly a thing so glorious as eating a nectarine at the perfect stage of ripeness... sweet juice running down your arms, slurping noisily away like a kid! Ah, one of the many delights of Summer time!!

Also, before I go, I made a new friend today. A girl who just moved here w/her husband and 17 month old baby girl from Michigan. They live pretty close to the office. It will be nice to have another mom to hang out with and have play dates. :)
