It's tomato time!

We're just about there, folks... tomato season. I'm so excited, as I am every year around this time. I get so antsy to get my fingers in the dirt I can hardly stand it. But I know not to plant too soon or the frost will kill my little plant babies. Nevertheless, I went to the nursery yesterday and purchased a few lovely tomatoe plants. Well, I admit I got more than a few... 35 to be exact. Yeah, that sounds excessive and it is. But they were on sale for 10 cents each! And they came in 3 or 4 packs. And there were at least 8 different varieties, all of which I wanted to try. I almost stopped my self, thinking "Sarah, this is rediculous, you don't need this many tomatoes." But then I thought it's just 10 more cents. What's the bid deal. I'll put as many as I can in the garden, then I'll pot some for the deck, then I'll put some in the front flower bed, and give some away. No harm done. And if I have zillions of tomatoes this summer I'll just make tomato sauce, and tomato paste, and katsup, and tomato soup, and salsa, and tomato salad, and freeze some, and can some, and give a bunch away. :) My mouth is watering just thinking about it.
hooray for summer time!
