busy weekend

Elijah and I had a good time in Evansville this weekend. It was a whirlwind! Here's what we did...
Arrived Thursday night. Hung out with the family at mom's house.

Got up early Friday morning, went to the dentist and got my tooth fixed once and for all. Mom and I then ran back and forth to Wal-Mart, got breakfast for everyone, dropped my car off at the shop for an oil change and battery, then back to the office. Then I had my hour-long massage. Oh, it was lovely and relaxing. Then we had Los Bravos for lunch, shopped at Kohl's and got some great deals on clearance items (summer shirts for $1.60 - $6.00.) And finally we had some down time at home, where Elijah got a short nap. After work dad wanted Los Bravos for supper, so we went back again. After that we were pooped so we stayed home and watched movies. My poor baby was SO tired, but he's a trooper.

Saturday morning we went to town for groceries bright and early. Then my cousin Amy and her 2 adorable kids came over to play. Meanwhile, my friend Carla came over with her 7 month old, the lovely Bella Rose (Elijah's betrothed). We had a house-full, but it was fun to visit with everyone. Turns out Carla and Amy live about 3 minutes from each other, both are stay-at-home moms and are going to have play dates together. How nice for them. :) I'm glad that worked out. Right after they all left, my grandparents came over and we cooked and ate. They hung out for a while after supper. Again, by the time the house cleared out my baby was exhausted and cranky.

Sunday after church we headed straight over to my other grandparent's house for a quick visit. Then home for lunch, packed up the car, fed Elijah and headed back to Indy. He did ok on the drive, but about and hour and 1/2 into it he started crying. I could only take that for so long, so I stopped 1/2 way there and walked around w/him and fed him. He eventually cried himself to sleep after that. It's getting harder to do road trips with him since he needs more entertainment now.
