Happy New Year's Eve

Well, Elijah's skin looks MUCH better now, after 3 days of putting the creme and Aquaphor on him. Its not red at all and you can barely feel the little bumps on his tummy any more. Since it worked so well, I'm pretty sure this was cold/dry air related. It obviously didn't bother him because he's just as happy as ever.

Yesterday after church we had a pitch-in during which my darling little boy decided to do an amazing trick... he POOPED. Out his diaper, up his back to the shoulders, down both legs, and around to his tummy. (while a lady was holding him - thank goodness it didn't get on her sweater). I haver NEVER seen the likes of it. Naturally I had to give him a bath in the sink at church and change his clothes. I'm so glad I always carry a change of clothes with us.

Last night we gave him his very first haircut. His baby hair was so long in places (around his neck and ears and right on top) and short in others where the new hair has come in. It was all uneven and looked like an old man's comb-over. It was hard to cut my baby's hair because it's kind of sentimental, but he needed it so bad. I know, I'm silly. I just took the long parts off around the neck and ears and shortened it up on top (just a tad). Now it sticks up again like it used to when he was newborn. He looks like such a big boy! It's amazing what a little haircut will do. I took before and after pictures, which I'll post when I have a second. Of course I kept the hair and put it in his baby book.
Here he is a few days before the haircut...

... and here he is after the haircut.
Doesn't he look like such a big boy?! :)

This weekend brought some much needed rest. I think I took 2 naps on Saturday when Elijah was napping and one yesterday. Plus we layed around yesterday and watched football. I have been stressed beyond words at work for the past week. I know this doesn't mean anything to those not in the business, but in the last 5 work days I received 29 claims. Normal is 12 in a week. I'm not allowed to work overtime but am still expected to get all the work done, so things have been hectic. By Friday evening I felt like I had an ulcer. I don't know if there's any truth to this, but Saturday I noticed my milk production was very low. Nothing had changed other than my stress level, so I attribute it to that. This is not good for my baby or my health. I must not let this job get to me. It's so hard. ugh. I'm still praying and praying that the Lord will make a way for us to get down to Evansville. I need to get out of here!
