P.T.L.
We got an offer on our house in Evansville!
Now, before anyone freaks out and celebrates, it's not a done deal yet. I have learned from experience not to count my chickens too soon. The up-side is that the people offered us our full asking price and they are willing to pay $1000 earnest money and almost all closing cost. The sort of down-side is that they want to rent it from us until March before they'll have the financing to actually close on it. So we don't have an absolute guarantee the purchase will take place. But they are willing to pay enough money in rent to cover the mortgage payment, plus a little extra. We've decided it's a good deal and we're not looking any gift horses in the mouth. (How do you like all the animal analogies today?) This is definitely a praise the Lord report, people!
In other news, Manny's parents will arrive from California tomorrow afternoon in Louisville. Manny's going to pick them up and bring them back to my parent's house here in Evansville. We'll stay the weekend, then head back up to Indy Monday. Sunday we're having an open house for all the distant family members to come meet Elijah. He's getting all geared up for his big debut.
Speaking of Elijah... he has learned to play the foot piano when I put it by his feet and sit him in the bouncy seat. He loves to make it go. I can tell he's actually choosing which keys he presses because he sticks his tongue out in concentration and whirls his arms and legs around like a little helicopter baby. It's so cute. :) He's just growing and doing more every day. What a blessing he is!
More updates about the house to come. Stay tuned.
